God is our Helper:
Listen to the psalmist as he lifts his prayer unto the Lord. He is assured that God is there in the midst of hurt, pain and much betrayal. May these scriptures comfort your hearts and calm your fears.
Psalm 54:4-7 Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me.
Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
in your faithfulness destroy them. (their ways)
I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
I will praise your name, O Lord, for it is good.
For He has delivered me from all my troubles,
and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
Almighty and Great God we receive your comfort doing this time of dis-ease and distress. We take your peace for ourselves. Not the peace of this world, but your peace that surpasses all understanding. In doing so we open our hearts and minds up to Your word that brings light, and life into our current situation. Your peace settles our hearts so that bitterness and resentment will not bolt our hearts. We will not become overwhelmed by the injustice of the thing that we fail to see your mighty hand at work. Lord hallowed be Your name. Amen
